Homewood Lady Patriots fell behind early and couldn’t come back in an 8-1 loss to Pell City on Monday. Pell City scored on a double by Emily Dulaney and a single by Katelyn Dulaney in the first inning.

The Homewood Lady Patriots struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Pell City, giving up eight runs.

Pell City got things moving in the first inning, when Dulaney doubled on a 2-1 count, scoring one run.

Butts led things off on the rubber for Pell City. She lasted seven innings, allowing nine hits and one run while striking out five and walking one.
