Over 24 hours Thursday and Friday, the Pats (8-4) won three games as the baseball season goes on hiatus. In Tuscaloosa Thursday, the Patriots beat Northridge 10-5. Down 5-1 going into the top of the 6th, Homewood put up a 7 spot and added on 2 in the 7th to secure the win. Brode Susce picked up the win on the hill, striking out 10 in 5 innings of work. Harrison Hawkins hit a big 2 run single in the 6th; Kaj Knudsen followed that up with a run scoring single, and Andrew Rohdy drove home a run with a double to wrap up scoring in the 6th.
Friday at Homewood, the Pats swept Ramsay 17-2 and 12-2. Graham Harrison picked up the victory in game 1. Trae Ausmer and Rohdy had two hits a piece as Ausmer drove in 4 runs out of the lead off slot. Jackson Smitherman and Alex Ray had multiple rbis in game 1.
In game 2, Will Heisler upped his record to 4-0 over 5 innings of work, striking out 6 in the process. Smitherman had 3 more rbis on the game, and Cam Green had a big 2 strike, 2 out, 2 run single to cap off a 4 run 1st inning.
