Lady Patriots Win Regional Semis v. Bessemer City

Homewood Boys Headed to Montgomery!

Homewood had a rough practice yesterday in preperation for handling Russell County’s full court pressure. The Patriot “scout squad” dominated practice yesterday in preparation. Homewood came out today well prepared and raced out to a 13 point half time lead 34-21. Homewood left no doubt in the third quarter with a 22-0 3rd quarter run.

The Lady Patriots beat Pelham to advance to the Area 9 Championship game on Friday at 6 pm versus John Carroll.  Ajah Wayne was the leading scorer with 12 points and 7 rebounds.  Hannah Barber was unselfish in her play with a game high 8 assists to go along with 9 points.

The Homewood Indoor Track & Field team had their final regular season meet at the CrossPlex last weekend and earned top three finishes in both the girls and the boys. Homewood faced a good team in a tough environment last night, and fell to the Northridge Jaguars 57-39. Griffin Rivers led the Patriots with 9 points.
