Girls Golf advances to the state championships

The Patriot Girls Golf team finished second at the AHSAA 6A South Sub-State Championship today. The team will advance to the state championships on May 14th and 15th at the RJT Golf Trail, Fighting Joe course in Muscle Shoals.

Boys and Girls Golf competing in the South 5 Sub-State today

The Patriots Boys and Girls Gold teams are competing in the AHSAA 6A South 5 Sub-State Tournament today at the Timber Creek Golf Club in Spanish Fort.   The top two teams will  qualify for the state championships and the top two individuals,  not on those teams,  will also advance.

Jasmine Griffin ran a 14.34 to win the Girls 6A 100M hurdles championship.  Makiyah Sills ran a 14.92 to earn a third place finish.  Griffin and Sills teammate, Brianna Rapley finished sixth for the Patriots, gaining 3 crucial points for the team.  The nineteen total points gained in this event has now helped Homewood (99.75)
