JV Girls Soccer defeats Decatur 7-1

Girls Junior Varsity Soccer defeats Decatur HS Raiders 7-1 on the road Friday night.  Eleanor Kyle and Rika Kellen each finished the night with hat tricks, putting six goals on the scoreboard for the Lady Patriots.  Caroline Crimi also scored with an outside shot.

JV Girls Soccer wins Season Opener against Briarwood 7-1

Girls Junior Varsity defeated the Briarwood Christian Lions 7-1 on the road, earning the win in its season opener. Seven different Lady Patriots scored in the match. Figueroa wins 3rd straight wrestling state championship

Homewood Patriot senior wrestler Miguel Figueroa won his third straight wrestling championship this past Saturday.  Figueroa was a champion at 3 different weight classes (182, 195 and 220) throughout his career.  He has received full wrestling scholarship offer to Mount Olive University in North Carolina.

Homewood Athletics washed out today

Homewood High School athletic teams have been rained out today.  The following sports have been postponed: Varsity Baseball vs Heritage Christian Academy will be now be played, Monday, February 25th Varsity and Junior Varsity Girls Soccer is cancelled today, no make-up date has been established yet. Pats walk off on opening day

Playing in Oxford on opening day, the Patriots opened the season with a walk off 7-6 win over 7A Florence.  Down 6-1 after the top of the 6th, the Pats scored 3 in the bottom of the 6th on 2 run triple by Daniel Patton and a 2 strike, 2 out double by Crawford Doyle.
