Cheerleaders Attended UCA Camp in Gulf Shores

Homewood Athletic Foundation Golf Tournament

High School Football Media Day

High School Football Media Day was held at the Gardendale Community Center today. Homewood Head Coach Ben Berguson, Senior Tripp Moss, and Senior John Yarbrough represented the team at the event.  Coach Berguson took questions from the media regarding the 2014 football squad and upcoming opponents for this season. Homewood Athletic Foundation Presents Grants

The newly formed Homewood Athletic Foundation presented grants for the upcoming school year this morning during a training session for athletic personnel.  The foundation accepted grant proposals from varsity teams in May and received 10 applications. Professional Development Flex Day

The Athletic Department took advantage of the newly implemented Flexible Professional Development day for the school system.  High school and middle school coaches underwent extensive training in the following areas:  Drug Prevention, CPR & AED, AHSAA Student Eligibility, Public Communication, and 2014-2015 Procedures. #hwsports  

Homewood represents at AHSADCA Coaches Award Banquet

Last night, the Alabama High School Athletic Directors and Coaches Association (AHSADCA) held the 2014 Coaches Award Banquet at the Montgomery Renaissance Hotel.  The formal event recognizes all of the state championship coaches for the 2013-2014 school year.  Homewood was acknowledged an amazing 5 times.
