The varsity girls soccer team defeated Randolph High School 3-0 this evening. Freshman Marguerite Middlemas scored first to give the Patriots a 1-0 lead. Homewood Boys in State Championship Game Saturday

6A Boys State Championship Homewood (30-5) vs. Muscle Shoals (21-10) 2:15  BJCC Legacy Arena Homewood returns to the championship game for the 3rd time (2008, 2010) after reaching the semi-finals last season. The Varsity Girls Soccer Team scored first to take a 1-0 lead early in the second half before giving up 3 late goals to fall to Hoover HS 3-1 today. Freshman Elizabeth Oliver scored her first goal of the season off a loose ball in the box. Freshman Jada Repp made 11 saves in goal.

Pats fall to Mt Brook

At Homewood, the Pats (5-3) lost to Mt. Brook 6-2.  John Marc Mullins started on the hill and threw a gem over 6 innings.  Mullins gave up 3 runs, 2 earned on 5 hits, 3 bbs, with 10 ks. Homewood trailed 3-2 going into the top of the 7th, but the Pats aided Mt. Brook,

Lady Patriots Advance to State Championship Game

With a 69-41 win versus Huffman the Lady Patriots will play for the 6A State Championship on Saturday at 12:30.  A dominating 2nd and 4th quarter by the Pats made it difficult for Huffman to mount a comeback.  Homewood outscored Huffman in the 2nd quarter 20-8 and 25-12 in the 4th.  Three players for Homewood
