Two More State Championships for Homewood Track and Field

  Congratulations to both the girls and boys indoor track and field teams winning the AHSAA State Championships!  This is the third year in a row the girls have won, and the second year in a row the boys have won.  Additionally, this is the 25th State Championship for the Track and Field/Cross Country program,

Lucas Lamb signs with Birmingham Southern

Lucas Lamb signed a scholarship with the Birmingham Southern College Cross Country and Track and Field program.  The Panthers are part of the Southern Athletic Conference.  Lamb will be joining his Patriot teammate Alvin Finch at Birmingham Southern.

State Champions! Boys and Girls Track and Field are the best in 6A

The Boys and Girls Track and Field teams both earned the AHSAA 6A Track and Field Championships today in Gulf Shores!  With the wins today, both teams swept the indoor and outdoor championships, with the boys earning the triple crown by winning the cross country championship in the fall.  The girls finished second in the

Griffin and Sills 1st and 3rd in 100M hurdles championship, Rapley 6th

Jasmine Griffin ran a 14.34 to win the Girls 6A 100M hurdles championship.  Makiyah Sills ran a 14.92 to earn a third place finish.  Griffin and Sills teammate, Brianna Rapley finished sixth for the Patriots, gaining 3 crucial points for the team.  The nineteen total points gained in this event has now helped Homewood (99.75)

Brooks and Gibbons finish 1 & 3 in pole vault championship

Alex Brooks won the Girls 6A Pole Vault state championship this morning in Gulf Shores.  Brooks had a jump of 11 feet.  Her teammate, Anna Grace Gibbons, placed third with a jump of 9 feet 6 inches!  The Homewood girls have now taken a 17 point lead over second place Pelham.  Click HERE to follow the
