State Champions! Boys and Girls Track and Field are the best in 6A

The Boys and Girls Track and Field teams both earned the AHSAA 6A Track and Field Championships today in Gulf Shores!  With the wins today, both teams swept the indoor and outdoor championships, with the boys earning the triple crown by winning the cross country championship in the fall.  The girls finished second in the

Griffin and Sills 1st and 3rd in 100M hurdles championship, Rapley 6th

Jasmine Griffin ran a 14.34 to win the Girls 6A 100M hurdles championship.  Makiyah Sills ran a 14.92 to earn a third place finish.  Griffin and Sills teammate, Brianna Rapley finished sixth for the Patriots, gaining 3 crucial points for the team.  The nineteen total points gained in this event has now helped Homewood (99.75)

Brooks and Gibbons finish 1 & 3 in pole vault championship

Alex Brooks won the Girls 6A Pole Vault state championship this morning in Gulf Shores.  Brooks had a jump of 11 feet.  Her teammate, Anna Grace Gibbons, placed third with a jump of 9 feet 6 inches!  The Homewood girls have now taken a 17 point lead over second place Pelham.  Click HERE to follow the

Boys win 4×800, Girls finish 3rd

The Homewood Boys 4×800 relay team won the state championship today. The team of Logan Justice, Brady Cassell, Jack Gray, and Will Stone finished with a time of 8:17.80.  The girls team of Edie Smith, Hannah Brook Gibbons, Adah Allen, and Celie Jackson finished third with a time of  10:19.10 Both teams are currently in

Hill wins, Mikula 3rd in 6A Girls Triple Jump

Christian Hill won the 2018 6A Girls Triple Jump Championship today at the AHSAA State Track and Field Championships with a jump of 39’5.75″.  Teammate Kayla Mikula finished in third place with a jump of 37’5.75″.    You can follow the live results for all of the action from Gulf Shores by clicking HERE     

Patriots have a strong start to the 6A Track and Field State Championships

The Homewood Patriot Track and Field teams have started off the 2018 championships in exciting fashion.  Cecile Jackson was the first on the podium for the Patriots, finishing in third place in the 1600 meter run with a time of 5:14.93.  Will Stone followed up with a first place finish in the 1600 meter run
