The Homewood Invitational was a huge success with Homewood winning both the girls’ and boys’ divisions against an impressive field.   The girls won the meet with 118 points with Thompson (83), Hoover (59), Pelham (57), and Hewitt-Trussville (51) rounding out the top five.  The boys won with 92.5 points and were followed by Northridge (75),

Indoor Nationals, Great Start to Outdoor Season

The Homewood Track and Field program had three athletes compete at the New Balance Indoor Nationals in New York last weekend.  Aiya Finch finished 10th in the U.S. in the triple jump with a jump of 39-2.25, which is a new personal best.  Stephon May finished 12th in the High Jump in the U.S. with

Griffin and Sills 1st and 3rd in 100M hurdles championship, Rapley 6th

Jasmine Griffin ran a 14.34 to win the Girls 6A 100M hurdles championship.  Makiyah Sills ran a 14.92 to earn a third place finish.  Griffin and Sills teammate, Brianna Rapley finished sixth for the Patriots, gaining 3 crucial points for the team.  The nineteen total points gained in this event has now helped Homewood (99.75)
