Homewood Patriots Athletics

The Homewood Patriots Athletics program is a vital component of Homewood High School, located just “over the mountain” from the city of Birmingham, Alabama. 

The Patriots compete at the 6A level within the Alabama High School Athletic Association (AHSAA). Offering 12 sports for boys and 13 sports for girls, there is a wide variety of opportunities for the approximately 1300 students who attend Homewood High School. 

Wearing the traditional colors of red, white and navy blue, Homewood has a rich history of athletic success, having won 63 state championships. Good sportsmanship, fair competition, and hard work are the expectations of all Homewood Patriots, who demonstrate immense pride in both our school and our community.
